Well Log Correlation

In the exploration / development stage, Log while drilling (LWD) processes are performed for a few wells. Well Log Correlation is then used to coorelate the data and uses it for interpreting and predicting properties of other wells using Measure While Drilling (MWD) info.

Production Log Interpretation:

Cased hole logs such as Calliper Logs (also done in Open Hole) provide information on the well bore diameter, Cement Bond Log tells about cement condition of the well and Casing Collar Locator tells about the placement of casing collar in the well.

Production logs are used to allocate production on a zone by zone basis and also to diagnose production problems such as leaks or cross flow.
